Bri Bagwell, live in concert at the Third Coast Theater on October 29 Tickets & Info: http://www.thirdcoastmusic.biz/bri-bagwell.html ****About Bri*** Whether she knew it or not, Bri Bagwell has been working towards a singular goal her entire life. From the time she was writing poems in her childhood, to teaching herself how to play a dusty old piano, to playing her first solo show in college, Bri has followed a path towards music. Originally a high school volleyball star, Bri first got a taste of Honky Tonk early through singing in her twin brothers’ band and immediately knew she loved being on stage. Juggling the late night gigs with early morning volleyball practice and homework, fourteen-year-old Bri could be found being carried by the bouncer to and from stage at her town’s local bar. After high school, Bri attended the University of Texas in Austin, jumping at the chance to live in ‘The Live Music Capital of the World’. Once there, she found her way back to performing. Bri used to watch her brother's fingers when he played guitar to know what chords he was playing. Now in college, she picked up a guitar and realized, thanks to her brother, that she already knew some chords. Equipped with the right city, the new instrument, and fellow musicians, Bri was on stage once again. Following graduation, Bri worked with a major company in Austin, but quickly began playing shows at a rate that she needed to choose between her day job and her dream. After just three months, Bri knew what she had to do and transitioned full time into her music career. Now a fixture on the Texas Country scene, Bri has seen her audience grow and diversify as she has progressed through the musical landscape. From her first full-length release, Banned from Santa Fe in 2011, to her most recent single As Soon As You, Bri Bagwell has established herself among the community she used to aspire to be a part of. Bri’s musical influences have all played a part in her musical evolution. From Johnny Cash to Dwight Yoakum, Miranda Lambert to George Strait. Their spirits live within her songs. With six Number One Hits on the Texas Music Charts, Bri has found her place alongside some of Texas’s most talented performers and songwriters. Playing over 150 shows a year, she has shared the stage with some of the best: Miranda Lambert, Gary Alan, Dwight Yoakum, Randy Rogers, Josh Abbott, Wade Bowen just to name a few. Though a schedule of constant touring can be trying, Bri’s faith in her purpose has never wavered. “I have had hundreds of moments where I know this is where I am supposed to be. There hasn't been a single day where I did not want to get on stage. I know that I will find a way to do this as long as I am physically able; it's in my blood. I cannot do anything else. Those magic stage moments are what I live for.”
